How your information is handled

Answers to the assessment are confidential. They are never published individually, never shown to another participant, and never sold. Only aggregates appear in the index, and no single business can be identified in one.

Reading this site collects nothing at all. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party.

Nothing, unless you complete an assessment or write to us. Browsing the index, the methodology, the applications or this page involves no account, no form and no tracking.

When the public assessment opens it will collect the answers themselves, the name of the business the answers describe, and the contact details you choose to give. Standard server logs — an IP address, a timestamp, a page path — are recorded by the host in the ordinary course of serving the site.

Your responses are not sold, rented, licensed or traded. They are not used to identify your business to any other participant. An individual assessment is never published, quoted or shown to a counterparty, an opposing party, or anyone else on the other side of a transaction — including where both sides of the same transaction have each completed one.

Aggregates only. A published figure is a mean or a distribution drawn from the whole sample, and the release states the sample size alongside it. Nothing in a release identifies a business, a person or a transaction.

Assessments taken through the public site sit in a separate pool from client engagement work and are not blended into the published index. That may change in a future release. If it does, the release will say so before the figures move, and the change will be recorded in the published channel list rather than made quietly.

Responses are held indefinitely, and deleted on request. The reason for keeping them is structural rather than commercial: a score carries the version of the instrument and the version of the algorithm that produced it, and a trend built from scores issued under different versions is wrong. Keeping the raw answers is what allows an older assessment to be re-scored under the current algorithm before any change over time is shown.

Answers are held against the business rather than an email address, so a score history survives a change of address or a change of the person answering.

Today the site is served by Vercel, which hosts it and keeps ordinary server logs. Nothing else has access, because nothing else is connected to it.

When the assessment opens, responses will be stored in a database and contact details will be passed to the systems used to reply to you. Those providers process the data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. This section will name them before that happens.

You may ask what is held about your business, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to analyst.desk@singletonvaluations.com.

Deletion removes the responses and the contact record. Figures already published in a release are not withdrawn — a release is immutable once published, and it contains no identifying information to remove.

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and carries no analytics, advertising or session-recording scripts. There is nothing here to opt out of. If that ever changes, this page will say so and the change will be dated.
